An artistic tribute to the UN's 17 global goals for sustainable development
In the Danish market town of Nykøbing Sjælland you will find the unique sculpture park 17 Goals On My Mind. The park consists of 17 sculptures, each of wchich shows an interpretation of one of the UN's 17 global goals for sustainable development. The sculptures are permanently installed and have been created by a total of 21 renowned artists from different parts of the world.
The sculpture park 17 Goals on My Mind has been created in an artistic collaboration with Kunstkollektivet 8B and the artists involved. Several artists have worked together with local communities whi have been mobilized in collaboration with Odsherred Municipality. The sculptures are established in the atmospheric Annebergpark; a former hospital complex for the mentally ill. The cultural institution Anneberg Kulturpark, in collaboration with Atelier for Byers Rum by architect MMA Knud Kappel and Kunstkollektivet 8B, has been responsible for the placement of the 17 sculptures. In Anneberg Kulturpark you will also find the welcome center for 17 Goals On My Mind, the Michelin restaurant Mota, artist workshops, Anneberg Kulturpark Guest House, the local brewery Deeper Roots, Dansk Tang, the local mini spinning mill Det Vilde Spinderi and others.
The official owner of the works is Unesco Global Geopark Odsherred.
